Does the weight of the limbs affect the poundage?
Ex. The larger the weight the more poundage?
Also will using different limbs affect or damage the riser?

Yes poundage and weight are the same.
You can not really damage a recurve riser.
Rough starting point on poundage most guys 32-34#, most women 26-30#
